1. Who operates LaunchIndex
LaunchIndex is owned and operated by Liberateweb Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16127879, with its registered office at 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. In these terms, “LaunchIndex”, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Liberateweb Ltd.
Contact [email protected] for service questions or [email protected] for legal notices.
2. Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing or using LaunchIndex, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use LaunchIndex for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that organisation.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use member features. You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement and must not use the service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.
3. What LaunchIndex provides
LaunchIndex is a discovery and research service that records publicly observable information about websites that may have recently launched. It is not an official registry, ownership database, certification service, investment service, or guarantee that a website, business, product, claim, or launch date is genuine, safe, lawful, or accurate.
Free Launch Check begins with a limited DNS and HTTP reachability check. Its full automated, passive review runs only after you sign in and is linked to your account. It covers one publicly accessible page at a stated time. It does not crawl the entire website, submit forms, attempt authentication, make purchases, perform penetration testing, establish legal or accessibility compliance, or prove that a page is secure, indexed, or ready for every visitor. By requesting a check, you confirm that the URL may be accessed publicly and that you will use the feature only for a lawful purpose.
We may add, change, rank, label, correct, restrict, unpublish, or remove any listing or feature at any time. Submission does not establish ownership, create a right to publication or placement, require us to use submitted wording, or imply endorsement, partnership, or affiliation. We are not obliged to index every site or keep any site in the directory.
4. Accounts and access
Google is the public account sign-in method. You must provide accurate information, use only an account you are authorised to use, and keep access to your Google account and devices secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your LaunchIndex account unless caused by our breach of duty. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may not sell, transfer, share, automate, or lend an account; create accounts using false, disposable, stolen, or misleading identities; create multiple accounts to manipulate the service; or create or use an account to evade a restriction or ban.
5. Strict anti-spam and acceptable-use rules
LaunchIndex has zero tolerance for spam, manipulation, malicious activity, or abusive use. You must not use, or help another person use, LaunchIndex to:
- send, post, submit, promote, or link to unsolicited, repetitive, irrelevant, bulk, machine-generated, deceptive, or low-quality content;
- artificially inflate or suppress votes, rankings, traffic, comments, submissions, reports, engagement, or any other metric, including through bots, scripts, click farms, coordinated accounts, incentives, or reciprocal schemes;
- advertise or solicit without our written permission, harvest contact details, distribute chain messages, or use LaunchIndex data for unsolicited email, messaging, calling, or other direct marketing;
- submit phishing, malware, scams, counterfeit goods, malicious redirects, credential theft, deceptive downloads, or content designed to harm users, devices, networks, or third parties;
- post or submit anything unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, privacy-invasive, infringing, or otherwise harmful;
- impersonate another person or organisation, falsely claim ownership or affiliation, misrepresent a site's status, origin, launch date, or purpose, or conceal a material commercial relationship;
- probe, scan, test, defeat, circumvent, or interfere with security, authentication, moderation, rate limits, robots controls, access restrictions, or the normal operation of the service;
- introduce malware or harmful code, overload or disrupt infrastructure, scrape at an excessive rate, use unauthorised automated means, or extract or reuse a substantial part of the directory or database;
- collect, expose, infer, or misuse another person's personal, confidential, or sensitive information, including doxxing or stalking; or
- encourage, facilitate, or attempt any prohibited activity, including by repeatedly testing the boundary of these rules.
Reasonable access by ordinary browsers and compliant general-purpose search engines is permitted, subject to our technical controls. Any other automated or bulk access requires our prior written permission.
6. Your content
You remain responsible for site submissions, pitches, comments, reports, profile information, and other material you provide (“Your Content”). You promise that Your Content is accurate in all material respects, that you have all necessary rights and permissions to provide it, and that our use of it under these terms will not violate law, confidence, privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights.
You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, format, analyse, moderate, publish, display, distribute, and otherwise use Your Content to operate, secure, improve, and promote LaunchIndex. This licence lasts for as long as the relevant content remains on the service and for a reasonable period in backups, legal records, and materials already produced. To the extent permitted by law, you waive and agree not to assert moral rights in Your Content against us for those uses.
Do not include special-category, highly sensitive, confidential, or unnecessary personal information in public comments, submissions, or reports. Public comments display your chosen display name. You are responsible for deciding what you make public.
7. Listings and third-party website material
LaunchIndex may display domain names, titles, descriptions, URLs, public technical observations, technology signals, excerpts, logos, and screenshots obtained from public websites. The underlying websites and their material remain the responsibility of their owners. Our display of factual or limited website material is for identification, commentary, reporting, research, and directory purposes and does not transfer ownership to us.
If you believe a listing is inaccurate, unlawful, infringes your rights, exposes personal information, or should be reviewed, send a detailed notice to [email protected]. Include the URL, the issue, the basis of your request, your relationship to the site or rights concerned, and supporting evidence. We may request identity or authority verification. We will consider valid requests, but we do not promise removal where continued publication is lawful and justified.
8. Moderation, removal, suspension, and bans
We may investigate suspected breaches and, where we consider it reasonably necessary to protect LaunchIndex, users, third parties, or our legal interests, we may:
- reject, edit, label, restrict, hide, unpublish, or permanently remove any submission, comment, report, listing, link, or other material;
- limit features, invalidate sessions, suspend or terminate accounts, block domains, addresses, devices, networks, or identifiers, and permanently ban sites or users;
- reverse or disregard votes, rankings, reports, submissions, or other activity that we believe is manipulated or abusive;
- preserve relevant records and disclose information to affected parties, service providers, regulators, courts, or law enforcement where permitted or required by law; and
- take technical or legal action and recover our reasonable enforcement costs where the law permits.
We may take these actions with or without prior notice where lawful, including on a first breach if conduct is serious, risky, deceptive, or unlawful. We have no obligation to publish content, provide advance warning, reveal security or moderation methods, or reinstate an account or listing. Attempts to evade an action are a separate material breach and may lead to broader or permanent restrictions. You may request a review by emailing [email protected], but we retain final control of the service subject to applicable law.
Our right to moderate does not make us responsible for all user or third-party content, and we do not guarantee that we will identify or remove every breach.
9. Our intellectual property
LaunchIndex's software, design, branding, selection and arrangement, original copy, classifications, and database are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual-property and database-right laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these terms, no rights are transferred to you.
You may browse and link to public pages for lawful, non-commercial reference. Without our prior written permission, you may not copy, reproduce, sell, license, frame, mirror, republish, create a competing dataset from, or systematically extract or reutilise all or a substantial part of LaunchIndex. Repeated extraction of insubstantial parts is also prohibited where it conflicts with normal exploitation of the database or unreasonably prejudices our legitimate interests.
If you send ideas or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use it without restriction or compensation.
10. Third-party services and links
LaunchIndex links to websites and uses third-party services, including Google sign-in. We do not control or endorse third-party services and are not responsible for their availability, security, content, products, contracts, or privacy practices. Visiting or dealing with a listed site is at your own risk. Perform your own checks before providing information, downloading anything, making a payment, investing, or entering a transaction.
11. Service availability and changes
We may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue all or part of LaunchIndex, introduce limits, or make features paid in the future. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, compatibility, or that any error will be corrected. You should keep your own copy of any content you need.
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including network or utility failures, provider outages, cyberattacks, labour disputes, natural events, government action, or changes to law.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LaunchIndex is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that listings, dates, classifications, descriptions, screenshots, scores, links, or other information are complete, current, accurate, safe, lawful, non-infringing, or fit for a particular purpose. Website observations can be incomplete, delayed, automated, or wrong.
Nothing on LaunchIndex is legal, financial, investment, tax, security, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for independent verification and for decisions made using the service.
Nothing in these terms affects warranties, rights, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable statutory consumer rights.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory rights that cannot be excluded, or any other liability that law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
If you use LaunchIndex as a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses, or for loss you could have avoided by taking reasonable action.
If you use LaunchIndex for business purposes, to the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations, and terms. We will not be liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, anticipated savings, goodwill, reputation, data, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to LaunchIndex or these terms will not exceed the greater of £100 and the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
14. Business-user indemnity
If you use LaunchIndex for business purposes, you will indemnify Liberateweb Ltd and its officers, employees, and contractors against third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from Your Content, your unlawful or unauthorised use of the service, or your material breach of sections 4–9. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own breach, negligence, or wilful misconduct.
15. Ending use and consequences
You may stop using LaunchIndex at any time and may delete your account from the account page. We may suspend or terminate access under section 8 or discontinue the service. On termination, your right to use member features ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including licences already granted, intellectual-property protections, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute terms, and accrued rights—survive termination.
Account deletion does not require us to remove an independently collected public website listing, de-identified moderation record, material we must keep by law, or information retained temporarily in backups. See the Privacy Notice for details.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for legal, security, operational, or service reasons. We will post the revised terms and update the effective date. If a change materially affects registered members, we will provide reasonable additional notice where practicable and may require renewed acceptance. Changes do not apply retroactively. If you do not agree to an update, you must stop using the service and delete your account before the updated terms take effect.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any non-contractual dispute are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live and may bring proceedings in any court available to you under applicable law. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Please contact [email protected] first so we can try to resolve a dispute informally.
18. General terms
These terms and the documents they expressly incorporate are the entire agreement about your use of LaunchIndex. If any provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or removed, and the rest will remain in effect. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our written consent. We may assign this agreement as part of a reorganisation, financing, sale, or transfer of the service, provided this does not reduce mandatory consumer protections. No person other than you and Liberateweb Ltd has a right to enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
