LaunchIndex Research

Evidence about what is newly appearing on the web.

Published snapshots turn LaunchIndex’s public observations into citable findings and reusable aggregate data.

Every report uses a fixed source cutoff, visible definitions, a versioned methodology, and an immutable aggregate snapshot.

Published reports

The first monthly snapshot is being reviewed. Draft reports remain private until their totals and explanations have been checked.

Reuse and citation

Aggregate report tables and CSV downloads are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Credit “LaunchIndex Research,” name the reporting period, and link to the canonical report. Row-level directory data is not part of this license.

How the observations are produced

LaunchIndex records when it first observes a publication-cleared website live. Read the methodology and limitations before interpreting the totals.

Research programme

The initial series covers the monthly state of newly launched websites, observed transitions from placeholder pages to live websites, and the technologies and categories appearing among new launches. Each publication is released only after its fixed snapshot has been reviewed.
